How We Ship
All orders are dispatched from our warehouse in Japan and delivered to your door in the European Union using Japan Post International e-Packet Light - a tracked international postal service operated by Japan Post.
Delivery Timeframes
Delivery times are calculated from the date your payment is confirmed (captured). Under normal postal conditions:
Delivery times may be affected by customs clearance, local postal volumes, or extraordinary circumstances (e.g. public holidays, adverse weather). If your order has not arrived within 60 calendar days of payment confirmation, please contact us at contact@japanbest.eu immediately.

Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are calculated based on the weight and dimensions of your order and are displayed clearly at checkout before you confirm payment - in accordance with Article 6(1)(e) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU).
There are no hidden charges. The total you see at checkout is the total you pay.
Customs & Import Taxes
We are registered under the EU Import One-Stop-Shop (IOSS) scheme. This means that for all orders with a total value of EUR150 or less:
- VAT is collected at checkout - no separate import VAT is due upon delivery.
- Your parcel is processed under IOSS, which typically results in faster customs clearance and avoids unexpected charges at your door.
- We do not accept orders exceeding EUR150, so every shipment remains fully within the IOSS threshold.

Tracking Your Order
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your Japan Post tracking number. You can track your parcel using the following options:
- Japan Post website: trackings.post.japanpost.jp
- Your local postal carrier's website - Once the parcel enters your country, tracking updates are typically provided by your national postal service (e.g. La Poste, Deutsche Post, PostNL, An Post, etc.).
Tracking events may not update in real time during international transit. If no movement is shown for more than 15 business days, please contact us.
If Your Parcel Does Not Arrive
If your order has not been delivered within the 60-calendar-day maximum deadline, you are entitled to a full remedy under EU consumer law. Please contact us at contact@japanbest.eu with your order number and we will investigate promptly.
If we are unable to arrange re-delivery, we will issue a full refund including the original shipping cost.
Returns, Withdrawal & Defective Goods

Please note: return shipping costs for voluntary withdrawals are borne by the customer (see Section 8.4). For confirmed defective or incorrect items, return shipping is fully reimbursed (see Section 9.3).
